Vail Beaver Creek Restaurant Week – Dining at Altitude is a local and visitors favorite!
30 Vail restaurants, 13 Beaver Creek restaurants, and 5 Lodging partners have made this year wildly successful.
Friday evening started with the Prosecco Pop-Up at Root and Flower and moved to Latour for the $20.18 special.
A perfectly planned evening with pre-dinner cocktails and ending with a dessert trio and port sippers.
The Highlights of Latour
I went out for the $20.18 special but found a few tasty treats outside of the special. Lobster mash potatoes? What?
I have had Lobster mac and cheese and other lobster this and that, but Lobster mash potatoes at Latour were the best I’ve had.
Definitely a Double Black Diamond rating for that side dish.
What Made Latour a Double Black Diamond Experience?
Latour receives a Black Diamond rating for service and ambiance-although it was crazy busy. The staff handled the merry mayhem very well!
As a local, we do get a few perks like when a fantastic bottle of bubbles arrives before our water. Thanks to the Som at Latour Kai (quinoa) that’s really his name, who took care of us.
Our waitress and longtime local Linda made sure we knew the best dinner option for the $20.18 special. Her choices were spot on!
The evening starter was Oysters on the half shell and went perfectly with the prosecco.
My choice for dinner was the Black Angus Manhattan: short rib potato pailison, spinach, bacon & date compote, madeira. It is a gluten-free option.
The Night Ends With Dessert
I enjoyed every tasty bite of the appetizers and dinner and the evening ended with a dessert trio and a choice of dessert wines and port.
A perfectly sweet ending to our dining experience. The food was flavorful, and the staff created a lovely and festive experience.
Usually, we come in for our favorites, but we were offered samples of other menu items to try and it was unbelievable.
Dining with friends willing to try new menu items, people who appreciate the whole dining experience and are also gracious to the extra efforts of the staff say a lot about my friend’s character.
Treating the service staff well and respectful is a must in my book!
Thanks to Latour for providing a Black Diamond Experience for my friends and I. We will be returning this winter with other friends and family!
